Devil's Claw Properties
The Devil's Claw (Harphagophytum procumbens) is a native plant of South Africa and is traditionally used in African medicine by Boscimani, Ottentotti and Bantu to cure wounds and soothe joint pain.

It has its name to the hooks that emerge from the fruits, which can represent a dangerous trap for small animals passing by. It comes to Europe at the beginning of the twentieth century and here it is confirmed the anti-inflammatory, anti-inflammatory, anti-rheumatic and spasmolytic action, especially muscle and joint. It also stimulates digestion, reduces cholesterol absorption, and helps in the premenstrual phase, facilitating endometrial fading and calming the pain.
